Sprinkle Kindness

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw a heartwarming trend on GoFundMe where communities were using the platform to save their beloved local ice cream shops.

We celebrated this collective community kindness on National Ice Cream Day by giving out free scoops of a new ice cream flavor—Sprinkle Kindness—at five ice cream shops that had been saved by their local community on GoFundMe. The campaign had everything: napkins, posters, ice cream cone covers, sprinkles packets, and mural art.

But the cherry on top? Each ice cream shop donated a portion of the proceeds from the day to a local charity they cared about. GoFundMe matched up to $25,000 in donations.
