Hi, I’m Kaley

It’s nice to meet you. I’m currently a brand copywriter at Figma, where I help shape stories that are as creative and authentic as the people who use our product.

Before this, I was the lead copywriter at GoFundMe, where I crafted their first-ever brand campaign. Over the years, I’ve written for almost every screen you can imagine: the small one in your hands, the medium one in your office, and even the huge ones outside—the biggest of which being Times Square.

No matter the format, I always approach my work the same way: with curiosity, and a desire to write meaningful words that anyone can relate to.

I write because

I fell in love with writing as a kid, using pen and paper to help me make sense of the world. Now, whether I'm writing for a brand or myself, I'm always trying to find the right words to capture a feeling we all know but have trouble putting our finger on. Good writing brings people together and makes us all feel a little less alone. That’s what I’m forever chasing.

What makes me unique

I care—a lot. About people seeing themselves in the words I write. About being a good teammate. About doing my best and helping those around me do their best work, too. But that's only part of me. I also care deeply about collecting memories with the people I love, being good to the earth, and protecting wild places. I bring all of this to the work that I do.

Who I’ve been before

Before I found copywriting, I was a restaurant server, a limo cleaner, a basketball scorekeeper, an ice cream scooper, a surf instructor, a National Park ranger, a tour guide in America and Canada, a cultural anthropology intern, a telemarketer, and a customer support specialist.

That's a lot, I know. It's all to say that I bring a lot of experience to the table. Once I found copywriting, it stuck.
